| In 1993 John Kidwell, AIA began his professional career in Tampa as an Intern Architect with Holmes Hepner and Associates Architects. Under the guidance of Dwight E, Holmes, FAIA and Peter M. Hepner, AIA, John quickly established himself as a vital assset to the firm. As such John is an Associate in the Firm. Major projects which John has been involved in include High School ‘CCC’, in Pasco County, North County Career Center, Newsome High School, Braulio Alonso High School, Marion S. Rodgers Middle School and Roland Park Middle School, all in Hillsborough County. John served as Project Manager of the team chosen to provide continuing architectural services to Hillsborough Community College. Joined has served as Project Architect for several different projects such as the New York Yankees Training Facility in Tampa and Classrooms For Kids for the Hillsborough County School Board.
While working for Siebein & Associates – Consultants in Acoustics, John served as a Team Member on the following projects: High School ‘AAA’ in Marion County, High School ‘CCC’ in Leon County and Court of Palms at the University of South Florida in Sarasota. In 1994, John received a Progressive Architecture (P/A) Award of Merit for the project “Listening to Buildings”. He also received the Robert Bradford Newman Award in Architectural Acoustics in 1995. In the fall of 2004, John received the AIA Tampa Bay Eduardo Garcia Award, which recognizes young Architects for design excellence. |
