During this period in 1983, Peter M. Hepner, AIA joined the Rowe Holmes firm as an intern architect, and subsequently worked with Dwight Holmes for 27 years. Dwight Holmes and Dean Rowe separated their professional practices in 1992 and several years later, Dwight and Peter formed Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects. In 2010, Dwight left the firm to pursue other interests.
Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects endeavors to maintain the highest standards of excellence in architecture. In 2004 Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects was recognized by both the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects and AIA Tampa Bay as Firm of the Year.
With an office in downtown Tampa, Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects' primary focus is institutional and corporate architecture. The firm has also undertaken a number of other project types such as banks, religious facilities, interiors, multi-family housing and upscale single family residences. Peter M. Hepner, AIA, Jerry R. Miller, AIA and John Kidwell, AIA LEED AP, are Principals of the firm.
